Cheap Hotels in Auli

Cheap hotels in Auli for budget tourists

On the way to Badrinath one can come across India’s new skier’s paradise, Auli. A panoramic view of the snow capped lofty peaks of the Himalayas make the place breathtakingly beautiful! One shall find very few cheap hotels in Auli because it is not as popular as Shimla or Manali, but is gifted with 20kms of slopes which provide excellent opportunities for skiing. The 270 degree view lets you enjoy the highest peaks of Himalayas such as Nana, Kamet and most importantly Nanda Devi.

Cheap Hotels in Auli Cheap Hotels of Auli is only provided by GMVNL (Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam), a Govt Agency which is in charge of the whole area. GMVNL has small hotels and huts with all basic amenities. All rooms and huts are equipped with bed, blankets, attached bathroom, cable television and a Bukhara (heater using wood). However the facility of a geyser is unavailable, so one has to ask the hotel attendant for hot water. The tariff of a semi deluxe room is around Rs 2500 per day and that of the deluxe rooms are Rs.3000 per day.

Lodge hotels are rented at Rs 900 per day. The daily rate of a Hut (Wooden hut with 2 rooms, Wooden Hut with 4 rooms and deluxe hut available) changes in different season, but they are not always available. However staying in the huts gives a different experience. One can also find accommodation provided by the locals who rent their places as dormitories having only bed and blanket and a common bathroom. Apart from that there are no other cheap hotels around Auli.

The hospitality provided by the hotel staff and local people is very warm and will surely make you feel at home. Overall, staying at Auli gives a different experience to all tourists. This destination is gradually expanding its grandeur in the tourism world. We expect to find more Auli cheap hotels which will draw more and more tourists to have an experience of a lifetime. There is a scarcity of internet bookings for these kinds of hotels.
