Auli which means the meadow or ‘bugyal’ is a recently popularized winter skiing resort in Himalayan mountain state of Uttarakhand in India. It stands at about 3048 mts high from the sea level. The very less explored scenic beauty truly reminds us the heaven on earth. There are loads of tourists’ attractions in Auli, which invite the tourists to relax in its amicable atmosphere. Jashimath, 12 just kms away is the gateway to Badrinath and it is said that sage Adi Sankaracharya had visited this place .Nanda Devi NP, 40 kms from Auli is known for its dazzling array of flora and fauna which host Brahma kamal and bharal. Other Auli tourist attractions include Chattrakund; a sweet water lake is 1 km from Gurso Bugyal. Gurso Bugyal is a huge meadow in the centre of the forest surrounded by oak trees and conifers.

Chenab Lake, Vanshinarayan Kalpeshwar, Ropeway at Joshimath and the valley of flowers are of great fun as one can view the enchanting, picturesque landscape. Other tourist attractions near Auli include the hot springs of Tapovan, Amarkalp tree etc. The winter games and the fairs, festivals are eye-catching.
